Lauderdale definitely caters to a more seasoned gay clientele.

It's only 45 minutes north of Miami and then maybe just rent a car for the day and explore Miami and South Beach.įt. Lauderdale instead as it has a lot more gay guest houses/hotels, bars, etc. You're only staying for 5 nights and extremely convenience if you are getting off a ship at the port of Miami. Ocean Blvd has a active nightlife (mostly straight) with lots of restaurants and the gay beach in near 12th Street and Ocean. Yes, it has a lot of young beautiful people, but you will also find a lot of Europeans and South American and regular American tourist too so I don't think you'd feel too out of place. Miami and South Beach has a lot of see and do especially if you haven't been there before. We’re not into the bar/club scene anymore. We are avid beach lovers, like sightseeing and good restaurants. Not having been there before, I am unsure. My hubby thinks South Beach is really for younger people, not people our age. We’re thinking of renting a condo on Ocean Ave. My husband and I, 62 and 60 respectively, want to spend 5 days in South Beach Florida after our cruise.
